Recently, we released the news about the new GISMO module to register and manage research infrastructure. In doing so, we indicated that visualisation of registered infrastructure and facilities via the research explorer would follow in Spring 2024. That moment has now arrived.

What do you need to know?

  • A new tile (including search box) has been added to the research explorer home screen.
  • Until now, only deans, research directors, validators and registrators had a view of the research infrastructure within their organisation. Via the research explorer, this view expands (so one can also see the infrastructure of other faculties) and other members of the research community can also consult the information.
  • Registration is mandatory for certain research infrastructure (e.g. certain funding, Core Facilities). Registration and visualisation do not imply open accessibility to the infrastructure (access policies are listed separately).
  • Via the Organisations > Research Units tile you can also consult an overview of the research infrastructure of a specific Core Facility.
