The “Key Strategies for drafting manuscripts for publication” seminar focuses on equipping researchers with the necessary skills to effectively structure their manuscripts and enhance the clarity of their findings. By doing so, researchers can accelerate the submission process and increase the likelihood of acceptance and wider dissemination of their research.

This seminar aims to achieve the following learning objectives:

  • Obtain recommendations on how to increase their chances of getting published in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Learn strategies to optimize their manuscripts for successful submission and review.
  • Provide an understanding of the key components of an effective research article in the health field. Participants will learn to structure the introduction, methods, results, and discussion sections to communicate their research findings effectively.
  • Identify common pitfalls in health research writing and learn strategies to avoid them.
  • Learn how to write clearly and concisely, using appropriate language and formatting for health research writing.
  • Foster the development of research that is ethical, transparent, and of high-quality

 

Guest speaker: Ximena Alvira (Elsevier). Dr. Ximena Alvira is a medical doctor, doctor in neuroscience, and a medical writer with over 25 years of experience to share. She’s given more than 190 workshops in health research and publication worldwide and has been with Elsevier since 2012.
